VLSI Research Scientist Semiconductor R&D

Job Title: VLSI Research Scientist

Location: [R&D Center / University Collaboration Lab / Corporate Research Unit]

Experience: 2–10 years

Education: Ph.D. or M.Tech in VLSI, Microelectronics, ECE, or Computer Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in VLSI design methodologies, low-power techniques, and next-gen transistor technologies
  • Prototype new architectures or IPs using RTL/FPGA/simulation environments
  • Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
  • Collaborate with academia and internal teams to translate ideas to silicon

Requirements:

  • Strong background in VLSI design, digital circuits, and semiconductor physics
  • Proficient in HDL (Verilog/VHDL), simulation tools, and scripting
  • Exposure to ASIC/FPGA prototyping flows
  • A strong publication/patent record (preferred for senior roles)
