Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MS Access Developer to lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex MS Access applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Access, VBA, and relational database design, along with the ability to interface with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust MS Access applications using VBA, SQL, and macros.
  • Optimize and refactor legacy Access databases for better performance and maintainability.
  • Integrate Access applications with other data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional database solutions.
  • Develop reports, queries, forms, and dashboards as per user requirements.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and bug fixes.
  • Mentor junior developers and enforce coding best practices.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills And Experience

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Access development.
  • Expertise in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), SQL, and Access Macros.
  • Strong understanding of relational database design and normalization.
  • Experience with Access-to-SQL migration or integration is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 / Access Runtime Environments.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
  • Exposure to other database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Prior experience in a banking & finance environment (domain-specific knowledge).

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
