We are looking for the right candidate for a scientific position with our leading client in the Agri-Biotech sector, based in Bangalore. Job Title: Research Associate / Senior Research Associate – Bioformulation (Agri-biotech)Location: BengaluruExperience: 2–5 YearsIndustry: Agri-biotech / Crop Science / BiotechnologyThe RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate / Senior Research Associate/Scientist to contribute to our client's crop improvement and protection initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bioformulation development for bio-agricultural inputs and a strong understanding of microbial populations, plant metabolites, and their applications in agriculture.

Key ResponsibilitiesBioformulation Development: Design and develop novel bioformulations such as biocontrol agents, biofertilizers, and biostimulants with a focus on efficacy and agricultural application. Active Ingredient Identification: Identify and evaluate novel active ingredients (e.g., peptides, metabolites, signaling molecules) for use in pesticides, fungicides, nematicides, and herbicides. Production Method Development: Develop scalable production methods for active ingredients and their formulations, in line with industry standards.

Soil Microbiome Engineering: Apply microbiome engineering to improve crop yield and sustainability. Advanced Molecular Techniques: Conduct recombinant cloning, genome editing, and knockout experiments in plants and microbes; maintain comprehensive records and datasets. SOP Compliance: Prepare and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality in research output.

Stakeholder Communication: Deliver results in a timely manner and communicate progress effectively to internal and external stakeholders. Process Improvements: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost R&D efficiency and productivity. Lab and Equipment Management: Ensure regular maintenance of equipment and accurate documentation of experiments and outcomes.Why

What We're Looking ForMaster's or Ph. D. in Plant Biology, Crop Science, Agricultural Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in academia or Agri-biotech/biotechnology industries, particularly in agri-input formulations. Hands-on experience with RNAi and recombinant technologies for agriculture.

Demonstrated expertise in bio-based formulation development for crop improvement and protection. Experience working with multiple active ingredients in agri-input bioformulations. Strong foundation in plant molecular biology techniques.
