Role & responsibilities

As a Safety officer, your primary tasks are:

  • Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions

    • Identifying business needs and anticipating possible hazards at site during the transformation.

    • Developing and implementing practices and standards for new work procedures to mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace.

    • Providing advice and training on safety based on new needs arising from the transformation.

    • Monitor, coordinate and support Primary Persons Responsible when multiple projects requiring contractors can create interference and safety risks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:

• Diploma in Industrial Safety.

• Experience:

• Advanced knowledge typically requires ?5 years in the Safety function.

• Prior experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment is a significant plus.

• Skills:

• Analytical skills

• Good Communication skills

• Coaching capabilities
