Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management: Estimating project costs, preparing budgets, and tracking expenses.

Billing: Preparing and verifying bills of quantities, interim payment applications, and final bills.

Quantity Take-offs: Extracting quantities from drawings and specifications for accurate cost calculations.

Rate Analysis and Cost Estimation: Analyzing rates for materials and labor, and preparing cost estimates.

Material Quantification: Determining the required quantities of materials for the project.

Contract Administration: Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations related to billing and payments.

Reconciling Material Statements: Verifying material usage and reconciling it with billing records.

Skills and Experience:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is typically required.

Experience: Experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and billing, often ranging from 3-6 years, is common.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in quantity take-offs, rate analysis, cost estimation, and billing software.

Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
