Job Title: Estimation Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals while ensuring alignment with technical specifications and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on technical documents, such as Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and load lists.

  • Engage with customers to discuss and clarify technical details.

  • Develop and submit comprehensive technical and commercial proposals.

  • Provide regular follow-ups and status updates for inquiries after submitting offers.

  • Ensure accuracy in project and panel budget estimations, including labor, overhead, and margins.

  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel to perform tasks effectively.

Key Competencies:

  • Expertise in electrical systems, including Low Tension (LT) Panels, High Tension (HT) Panels, Switchgear, and Relays.

  • Strong knowledge of costing, tender management, and BOQ preparation.

  • Proficiency in technical documentation and commercial negotiations.

  • Experience with control panel systems and estimation processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience in estimation, costing, and tender management within the electrical or panel manufacturing industry.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with customers and stakeholders.
