Job Summary:

The Reception cum Billing Executive is responsible for welcoming patients, managing registrations, handling billing and payment processes, and ensuring smooth coordination between patients, doctors, and diagnostic departments. The role requires excellent communication, customer service, and accuracy in financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk & Patient Handling:

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage patient registration, data entry, and updating records in the software system.
  • Guide patients regarding available diagnostic services, pricing, and reporting timelines.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with departments for patient flow management.
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Billing & Cash Management:

  • Generate bills accurately for diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and online payments; issue receipts accordingly.
  • Ensure daily reconciliation of cash and reports with the finance team.
  • Maintain records of discounts, corporate billing, and credit clients.
  • Prepare daily billing reports and submit to the accounts department.

Coordination & Communication:

  • Coordinate with phlebotomy, radiology, pathology, and other departments for smooth patient experience.
  • Inform patients about test preparations, sample collection, and report collection timelines.
  • Liaise with corporate clients, TPA, and insurance partners for billing and approval processes.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the front desk area.
  • Manage calls, emails, and messages related to bookings and inquiries.
  • Support management in daily administrative or operational activities as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Graduate (Preferably B.Com / BBA / Diploma in Hospital Management)
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in front office or billing in a diagnostic centre, hospital, or healthcare setup.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of diagnostic billing software (e.g., LIS, HIS), MS Office.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, patient handling, accuracy, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and local language.

  • Turnaround time for registration and billing
  • Compliance with process and documentation standards
