Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and applicable industry standards.
  • Review and approve quality-related documentation such as QAPs, ITPs, WPS, PQRs, and NDT reports.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process, and final products to ensure conformance to design and quality specifications.
  • Coordinate with production, design, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare and maintain records of inspections, test results, and quality deviations.
  • Support NCR (Non-Conformance Report) processes, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits (ISO/API/Customer audits).
  • Monitor and report key quality KPIs such as defect rates, rework, and rejection analysis.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of quality inspection equipment and gauges.
  • Develop and train shop floor staff in QA procedures and inspection techniques.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma/B. E in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a valve or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of valve standards: API 6D, API 600, ASME B16.34, etc.
  • Familiarity with materials standards (ASTM), NDT processes, and welding standards.
  • Certification in ISO 9001:2015 (Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor) preferred.
  • Exposure to third-party inspections and documentation for PED/IBR/CE marking is an added advantage.
