Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Masters degree (preferred but not required).

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in warehouse engineering, logistics, or supply chain management, with a focus on finished goods storage and operations.

  • Proven experience in designing and optimizing storage systems, managing warehouse automation projects, and implementing technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Design & Layout Optimization:

  • Design and implement efficient storage systems for finished goods, considering space utilization, safety, and workflow.

  • Optimize warehouse layout to improve accessibility and minimize operational delays, considering both manual and automated handling processes.

  • Conduct periodic assessments of the warehouse design to improve storage capacity, accessibility, and inventory turnover.

  • Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), and other related technologies.

  • Knowledge of inventory management, Lean, Six Sigma, and best practices for efficient storage.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance in warehouse operations.

  • People Management

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software or similar tools for warehouse design.

  • Understanding of RFID, barcode scanning, and other inventory tracking technologies.

  • Packaging:

  • Review and Improvise current packing methods

  • Source and evaluate packaging materials and suppliers.
  • Determine the most cost-effective ways to package and protect products.
