Job Description: Data Entry and Computer Operator

Location: Mohali, Punjab

Data Entry and Computer Operator involves accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining data in computer systems while also monitoring and managing computer operations. Key responsibilities include data verification, error correction, report generation, maintaining data security and confidentiality, and collaborating with other departments to ensure data integrity. This role requires strong attention to detail, typing skills, and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management: Accurately inputting, updating, and organizing data into databases and other computer systems.
  • Data Verification: Reviewing and verifying data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and correcting discrepancies.
  • Report Generation: Creating reports from the data entered and preparing summaries as needed.
  • System Operations: Monitoring computer system performance and troubleshooting basic issues.
  • Collaboration: Working with other team members and departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Documentation: Organizing and maintaining both physical and digital files for easy retrieval.

Skills and qualifications

  • Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy is essential for data entry and verification.
  • Typing Proficiency: Strong typing speed and accuracy are required for efficient data input.
  • Computer Literacy: Familiarity with data entry software, databases, and standard office applications.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to sort, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
