Company Description

JEEVIKA is India's largest state-level women's socio-economic empowerment program, directly working with 1.30 crore families in rural Bihar. It is a flagship poverty alleviation initiative of the Government of Bihar. JEEVIKA promotes a three-tier community structure consisting of Self-Help Groups, Village Organizations, and Cluster-Level Federations. The program started in 2007 as an autonomous body under the Department of Rural Development and has been designated as the State Rural Livelihoods Mission under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission framework to scale up poverty alleviation efforts in Bihar.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Patna for a Team Lead. The Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various program activities, managing teams, and ensuring the effective implementation of the program objectives. The role involves regular interaction with community groups, monitoring and evaluation of program progress, and supporting capacity-building initiatives. Additionally, the Team Lead will liaise with stakeholders, prepare reports, and provide strategic direction to achieve program goals.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and Team Management skills
  • Experience in rural development and community mobilization
  • Monitoring and Evaluation, and Reporting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Patna
  • Knowledge of social and economic issues affecting rural areas
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Rural Development, or related field
  • Experience in a similar role within a government or non-profit organization is a plus
