We are seeking an experienced and motivated Estate Engineering Manager to oversee the engineering, maintenance, and technical aspects of our estate. This role is responsible for ensuring all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, operating efficiently, and complying with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of managing budgets, staff, and contractors to achieve the estate's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Oversight:
Manage all engineering operations, including maintenance, repairs, renovations, and capital projects for the estate's buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Project Management:
Lead and manage engineering projects from planning and commissioning to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Staff and Vendor Management:
Supervise and develop an engineering team, and coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and projects.
Budget and Financial Management:
Develop and manage annual budgets for the engineering department, track operational costs, and provide financial reporting.
Asset Management:
Implement and oversee an effective Asset Management Program for all estate assets, including conducting condition assessments and life cycle analysis.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all engineering activities and estate infrastructure comply with safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to strategic planning for the estate's long-term development and operational efficiency.
Reporting:
Work with landowners or senior leadership to provide updates on estate developments, issues, and performance.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: Proven experience in estate management, engineering, facility management, or a similar role.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance programs, and relevant engineering principles.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate engineering teams and manage external contractors.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial planning and budgeting skills.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field is often preferred.
