Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled
Senior AWS Cloud Administrator
with a strong background in
Linux system administration
to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available AWS environments while ensuring compliance with best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical systems and drive cloud transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront, Auto Scaling).
  • Administer and optimize
    Linux-based servers
    (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using
    Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible
    .
  • Configure and maintain
    networking components
    (VPC, subnets, security groups, routing, VPN).
  • Monitor and optimize system performance using
    CloudWatch, AWS Config, and third-party tools
    .
  • Ensure
    security compliance
    : IAM roles, MFA, encryption, SSL/TLS, and AWS security best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex AWS and Linux issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Implement
    backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies
    .
  • Maintain documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Technical Requirements

  • AWS Services Expertise:
    EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda.
  • Linux Administration:
    Strong experience with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu; shell scripting (Bash).
  • Automation & IaC:
    Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible.
  • Networking:
    DNS, VPN, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Security Groups.
  • Monitoring & Logging:
    AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Security:
    AWS security best practices, CIS benchmarks, encryption standards.
  • Preferred Skills:
    Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Python scripting for automation.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
    or
    Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)

Experience

  • Minimum
    10+ years
    in Linux administration.
  • Minimum
    5+ years
    in AWS cloud administration.
