The Role: Accounts Manager

We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Accounts Manager to lead our accounting department. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, impeccable compliance skills, and a strong commercial acumen focused on profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Compliance:

• Manage all core accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing and compliance with all statutory obligations, including Income Tax (IT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and other necessary financial regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure financial practices are compliant and audit-ready at all times.

Strategic & Cost Control:

• Suggest Management on strategies to minimise operating expenses and maximise profitability through detailed financial analysis and cost monitoring.
• Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting for various departments and projects, monitoring performance against targets.
• Perform specific Cost Accounting in the gold jewelry sector, accurately tracking material (gold/precious metals) consumption, wastage, and overhead allocation to ensure accurate product pricing and profitability analysis.

Liquidity & Banking:

• Manage payments follow-up processes to ensure timely collections and maintain healthy cash flow.
• Oversee daily cash flow management and reconcile bank statements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for coordination with banks for loans, credit facilities, documentation, and routine transactions.

Reporting & Leadership:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, and other detailed reports for senior management review.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance management.
• Bachelor's degree (B.Com/M.Com) required; CA/CMA/MBA (Finance) qualification is a significant advantage.
• Proven experience in the Gold Jewellery Industry is highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of high-value inventory management and metal price volatility.
• In-depth, working knowledge of accounting software Tally is essential.
