Role Overview

We are looking for a
Social Media Manager
who will take full ownership of our online presence and ensure that all internal divisions at Digenie are supported through thoughtful, timely, and engaging content.

This role is ideal for someone who's obsessed with trends, understands storytelling through content, and is ready to manage social media like a boss — from content planning to execution and performance tracking. You'll collaborate closely with teams like design, video, content, product, and operations.

Freshers with strong communication skills and creative thinking are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Planning

• Build and manage monthly social media content calendars
• Draft creative, platform-appropriate captions and copy
• Generate ideas for reels, carousels, and posts based on trends and team inputs
• Collaborate with in-house designers and videographers for asset creation

Cross-Team Coordination

• Coordinate with internal teams (design, content, operations, product) to gather updates and convert them into content
• Understand business objectives from each division and translate them into content briefs

Publishing & Community Engagement

• Schedule and publish content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, YouTube)
• Monitor DMs, comments, and tags — respond or escalate where needed
• Maintain platform hygiene, update bios, links, and pinned posts as needed

Performance Monitoring

• Track and report platform metrics: reach, engagement, growth, CTRs, etc.
• Suggest improvements based on analytics and audience behavior
• Keep an eye on competitors and trending formats

Trend Spotting & Innovation

• Stay on top of platform updates and industry trends
• Propose innovative content formats and experiment with reels, memes, lives, polls, etc.

Requirements
Must-Have

• Passion for social media, content, and digital trends
• Strong writing and ideation skills
• Organized and self-driven — able to manage multiple requests and deadlines
• Good communication and coordination ability
• Willing to work from the Chennai office full-time
• Willingness to learn tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, Buffer, etc.

Good to Have

• Internship or freelance experience in content creation
• Exposure to tools like Google Sheets, Trello, Notion, or scheduling platforms
• Awareness of influencer and community marketing
• Basic knowledge of analytics tools or performance dashboards
