Project Coordinator / Project Manager CMD Cell

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of proven project coordination and management experience in large infrastructure or EPC projects

Industry: EPC Infrastructure, Green Energy, Solar, Metro Rail, Irrigation, Water, Electromechanical, Hydropower & Hydrogen Projects

Location: LCC Corporate House, Ahmedabad

Position Summary

The Project Coordinator/Manager will be a key member of the CMD Cell, responsible for end-to-end project planning, monitoring, and execution support across multiple high-value EPC and infrastructure projects. This role demands strong leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with corporate goals and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Strategic Coordination

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, finance, and execution teams to secure resources and resolve interdepartmental dependencies.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, sustainability, and digital transformation in project delivery.

2. Governance & Risk Management

  • Implement project governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, ISO norms, and internal SOPs.
  • Proactively identify project risks—delays, cost escalations, vendor defaults—and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation for audit and compliance.

3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as the central point of contact between CMD Cell leadership, project teams, and external vendors/consultants.
  • Support negotiations and performance monitoring of key contractors and suppliers, ensuring service quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Prepare regular vendor and consultant performance reports for management review.

4. Financial & Progress Monitoring

  • Track budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial discipline and timely reporting of variances.
  • Provide weekly/monthly dashboards covering progress vs. schedule, cash flow forecasts, and key project KPIs.
  • Support management in capital expenditure planning and long-term resource allocation.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, legal, and finance teams to align project goals and resolve issues.
  • Facilitate communication across multiple projects to share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Present project updates and strategic insights directly to senior leadership.

6. Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor junior project staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Assist in designing training programs to enhance project management capabilities across the organization.

7. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion adoption of digital project management tools, analytics, and AI-driven forecasting for improved decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery, cost control, and sustainability performance.

Qualifications & Education

  • BE Civil or ME Civil, or MBA in Infrastructure Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or related roles within EPC/Infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and multi-disciplinary project execution.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Primavera/MS Project) and ERP systems preferred.
