About The Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Cost Optimizer with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing cloud cost optimization strategies to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance security across multi-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and optimize cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor cloud usage and identify underutilized or over-provisioned resources.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and drive cloud cost governance best practices.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for optimization activities using tools like Terraform, Python, or Cloud-native automation tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to align cloud optimization goals with business objectives.
  • Create dashboards and reports to communicate cloud performance metrics and cost trends.
  • Participate in architectural reviews and provide cloud optimization guidance for new and existing workloads.
  • Stay current with new services, features, and best practices for Azure and GCP.

Education & Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and cost optimization roles.
  • Proven hands-on experience with both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native services, billing models, and resource management.
  • Proficiency with Azure Cost Management, GCP Cost Tools, and third-party platforms like CloudHealth, , or Apptio Cloudability.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse cloud usage data to derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Certifications in Azure (e.g., AZ-305) and GCP (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer).
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud architecture design.
  • Familiarity with FinOps frameworks and practices.
  • Background in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a plus
