Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Python + Django Backend Developer to join one of our client teams in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering expertise, hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance applications, and the ability to work directly with client stakeholders. This role requires ownership, technical depth, and the ability to independently design and deliver backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Django
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF)
• Design and manage efficient database schemas, models, and migrations
• Ensure high performance, security, and responsiveness of backend systems
• Handle large-scale transactions and high-volume API traffic
• Collaborate with frontend teams for seamless API integration
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning
• Work closely with client teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Take end-to-end ownership of backend modules and services

Technical Skills & Requirements

1. Core Python Expertise

2. Strong command over Python fundamentals and best practices

3. Ability to write clean, optimized, reusable, and scalable code

4. Experience with asynchronous programming (async/await, Celery, etc.) is a plus

5. Django & Backend Development

6. Extensive hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework

7. Strong understanding of:
8. Django models, views, serializers, and middleware
9. Database migrations and schema evolution
10. ORM best practices and query optimization

11. Ability to independently design and architect backend components

12. Database & Schema Design

13. Proven experience in designing normalized, scalable database schemas

14. Strong understanding of:

16. Indexing, joins, transactions, and constraints
17. Query optimization and performance tuning

18. Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL (mandatory)

19. High-Scale Application Experience

20. Experience working on high-traffic, transaction-heavy systems

21. Familiarity with handling concurrency, performance bottlenecks, and system scalability

22. Experience supporting applications with large user bases and high-frequency API requests

23. Frontend Knowledge (Client Requirement – Bonus)

25. Ability to handle basic to intermediate UI-related tasks

26. Strong understanding of frontend-backend integration via APIs

27. Project & Production Experience

28. Hands-on experience working on production-grade applications

29. Exposure to:

Pay: ₹80, ₹100,000.00 per month
