Job Description — Cinematographer (Sony Specialist)

Location: Vile Parle, Mumbai

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month

Experience: 2–3 Years

About the Role

We are scouting for a passionate, technically sharp, street-smart Cinematographer who lives and breathes Sony gear. If you know your gimbals like extensions of your arms and can capture emotions like a storyteller, this is your stage.

This role demands hands-on shooting excellence + editing sense. We don't just want someone who "operates a camera," we want someone who can bring frames to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute high-quality video shoots using Sony mirrorless cameras (A7 series / FX series)
  • Operate Sony-compatible gimbals (DJI Ronin / Zhiyun etc.) with absolute stability
  • Handle dynamic wedding shoots, indoor & outdoor events, cinematic shots
  • Capture high-emotion moments with creative framing, composition & lighting
  • Work closely with the creative director for shot planning & on-ground execution
  • Assist with basic to mid-level video editing (Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci)
  • Maintain camera equipment, batteries, SD cards, lighting gear
  • Manage shoots effectively under tight timelines
  • Travel locally for shoots around Mumbai as required

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Sony mirrorless cameras
  • Excellent control over gimbal balancing, movement shots & stability
  • Good knowledge of natural lighting, artificial lighting & color sense
  • Basic–intermediate editing knowledge (cutting, syncing, color touch-ups)
  • Strong sense of composition, transitions, slow-motion shots & creative storytelling
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced event environments
  • Professional, disciplined, punctual, focused

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience as a cinematographer or video shooter (wedding/event preferred)
  • Portfolio/Showreel is mandatory
  • Should be living in or very close to Vile Parle for easy daily commute
  • Knowledge of drones is a bonus (not mandatory)
