Java Microservice Developer

Role & responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
  • Implement and manage Spring Cloud components (Eureka, Config Server, API Gateway, Feign Client, Hystrix, etc.).
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry standards.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement security and authentication using Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT tokens.
  • Work with databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and design efficient SQL queries.
  • Use message brokers like Kafka / RabbitMQ / ActiveMQ for asynchronous processing.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins / GitLab / GitHub Actions.
  • Deploy and monitor microservices in Docker / Kubernetes / cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Perform code reviews, maintain SonarQube code quality, and ensure unit test coverage (JUnit, Mockito).
