Java Microservice Sr Developer

We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Microservices Developer to join our Customer Experience Platform (CXP) team. The role involves designing and developing scalable, high-performance microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Reactive programming principles to modernize legacy systems.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience with Reactive programming (Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor).
  • Knowledge of Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and API Gateway.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture and message brokers.
  • Good knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for CXP.
  • Implement Reactive Microservices using frameworks like Spring WebFlux or Project Reactor.
  • Collaborate with architects and product teams to define API contracts and integration patterns.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of services.
  • Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure code quality using tools like JUnit, Mockito, and SonarQube.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Integrate microservices with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance for high-volume, low-latency applications.
