Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and resilient microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of new features and enhancements, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Implement and maintain containerized applications using Docker, ensuring efficient build, packaging, and deployment processes.
  • Orchestrate and manage microservices deployments on Kubernetes clusters, including service discovery, load balancing, scaling, and self-healing.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, providing timely resolutions and contributing to post-mortem analysis.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Java, microservices, cloud-native development, and DevOps.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong expertise in Java 8+ and the Spring Framework, with extensive hands-on experience in Spring Boot for building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Demonstrable experience in designing, developing, and deploying microservices architectures.
- Proficiency with Docker for containerization, including writing Docker files and managing Docker images and containers.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for orchestrating, deploying, and managing containerized applications at scale.- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
- Understanding of testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end) and experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
