Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Tester with strong Selenium automation skills to join our QA and ITSM/ITAM organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing ServiceNow ITSM and ITAM modules, coupled with expertise in designing and executing automation frameworks for web and API testing. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders in an Agile delivery environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases for ServiceNow applications (ITSM, ITAM, and custom modules).
Build and enhance Selenium-based automation frameworks for UI and functional testing.
Perform Functional, Regression, SIT, and Performance testing across ServiceNow and integrated systems.
Conduct API testing (using tools like Postman or similar) for integrations and data validation.
Collaborate closely with developers to identify test scenarios, debug defects, and ensure high-quality feature delivery.
Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation (test plans, test data, and test summary reports).
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Identify and report defects/issues with clarity and track them through resolution.
Support and guide junior QA team members on automation and secure testing best practices.
Work with development and security teams to integrate secure coding practices, conduct code reviews, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
Contribute to developing and maintaining security-aligned quality procedures and best practices within the testing framework.
Required Qualifications
3–6 years of experience in Software Testing, with at least 2 years focused on ServiceNow platforms.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM and ITAM modules.
Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and automation frameworks.
Experience with manual testing, defect management, and test case design.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Working knowledge of SQL, API testing, and integration testing.
Awareness of secure coding principles and understanding of application security compliance.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Experience working with Rally (Agile Central) for project tracking and test management.
Exposure to ETL or data migration testing.
Basic understanding of ServiceNow development, configuration, and security controls.
