Senior Accounting Specialist

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist to take ownership of our end-to-end accounting operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement in processes and controls.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong command of accounting principles, hands-on experience in managing payables, receivables, payroll, taxation, and intercompany transactions, along with the ability to provide insightful financial analysis to guide business decisions.

You'll work closely with leadership to strengthen financial systems, support audits, develop strategies for cost optimisation, and help build a culture of accountability and precision in financial management.

Role and Responsibilities:

The roles of a Senior Accounting Specialist include but is not limited to:

Preparing invoices
: Ensuring invoices are properly prepared and followed up.

·       
Prepare Receipts
for collection in all form of payment – Cash, Card Bank Transfers

·       Perform regular
bank reconciliations
to ensure accurate financial reporting Cash flow management:

·       Manage the end-to-end
accounts payable
process, including invoice verification, approval, and posting.

·       Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment

·       Perform monthly and year-end AP closing activities, including accruals and reporting.

·       Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a
timely manner

·       Monitoring and balancing cash flows into and out of a business to meet obligations and optimise working capital.

·       Audit liaison: Coordinating external financial,
compliance, and tax auditors.

·       Internal controls: Creating and monitoring company policies and internal controls,
especially spending control
s, to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud and overspending.

Budget
: Assisting or fully creating the budget, including incorporating historical data.

·       Financial strategy: Developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity
forecasting

·       Compliance: Ensuring compliance with
local law, forthcoming tax law
and relevant industry and financial regulations. Includes
GST/TDS preparation

·       Reporting and analysis: Providing financial reporting and analysis to guide decision-making.

·       Cost savings: Identifying efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business.

Leadership
: Mentoring and managing accounting and financial know-how in the organisation.

·       
Payroll
: Handling payroll processing and labour tax compliance.

·       
Intercompany
management: Managing intercompany transactions in UAE, India, UK and other places.

·       Training/Coaching/Consulting: Assisting team members in organisation with questions on Accounting and Finance, arranging and delivering training and coaching for non-financial team members.

·       SOPs and Controls: Setting up SOPs and internal controls for finance and accounting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

·       Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

·       Professional certification (e.g., CA Inter, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage)

· years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior Role.

·       Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, especially related to accounts Receivable, payable, Local Taxation, Transfer Pricing, Export billing.

·       Proficiency in accounting software – Zoho Books

·       Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail

·       Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

·       Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
