Job Summary

The Local SEO Specialist reports to and assists the SEO Manager with implementing the organization's organic growth strategies as a member of the Growth Marketing Team. The Local SEO Specialist will focus on Local SEO, but perform a variety of tasks as needed, including keyword research, technical updates, link building, assist with global SEO, and provide recommendations to improve content as needed. This role has an emphasis on achieving maximum visibility by implementing complementary local and global SEO best practices.

Job Responsibilities


• Create, rewrite/repurpose existing content to be "localized" for specific office locations to be shared on Google Business Profiles as well as


• Identify link building opportunities and support link-building outreach


• Updates local business profiles (e.g., Google Business Profiles, Bing, etc.)


• Able to perform competitive analysis of other companies within industry


• Work with team to create a cohesive on- and offsite SEO strategy for maximum search visibility on global and local levels


• Assist with transitioning web assets WEG acquires through M&A


• Work in the CMS backend to update page titles, meta descriptions, links, and schema


• Implement optimization strategies that increase the company's organic search visibility and bottom-line results


• Set and meet measurable goals that demonstrate growth in organic reach


• Efficiently communicate with SEO Manager to identify opportunities and challenges


• Collaborate within the growth marketing team on technical fixes and SEO enhancements


• Must be available to attend some meetings during US CST time, and work up to 40 hours per week


• Turnaround times within 2 business days for smaller deliverables, overnight turnaround is ideal

Skill Requirements


• 2+ years of experience executing SEO campaigns


• 1+ years in financial services or equivalent experience.


• Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods


• Experience using a variety of SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz, Wordtracker, Majestic, SpyFu, Mangools, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, etc.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Self-starter able to work independently with limited supervision


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software


• Familiarity with Salesforce Experience Builder, WordPress, and other content management systems


• Experience with other aspects of marketing, such as customer growth and promotion, is a plus


• Resource must be able to work within team project management system (Wrike)


• Available for some meetings during business hours (MST)
