Job Title: Technical Analyst - Development Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Technical Analyst to join our development team. This role is pivotal in bridging business needs with technical execution by assisting with troubleshooting and documenting functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, including supporting the documentation of newly implemented features. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure clarity, traceability, and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Documentation:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for new features and enhancements.

User Story Development:

Translate business needs into clear, concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria that align with agile methodologies.

Acceptance Criteria Definition:

Ensure each user story includes measurable and testable acceptance criteria to guide development and QA teams.

Feature Documentation:

Assist in documenting newly implemented features, including process flows, configuration details, and release notes for internal and client-facing use.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

Work with developers, QA, and product managers to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and ensure alignment across teams.

Support Agile Ceremonies:

Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to provide insights and maintain documentation quality.

Traceability and Change Management:

Maintain traceability between requirements, user stories, and test cases. Update documentation as features evolve or requirements change.

Troubleshooting and Debugging Support:

Assist with researching development items using troubleshooting and debugging skills. Strong SQL and debugging abilities are highly recommended to help identify root causes and clarify technical issues during development and testing.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Technical Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role in a software development environment.

Strong understanding of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience documenting technical features and workflows.

Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA processes.

Preferred Skills

Experience with customer information systems (CIS) or enterprise platforms.

Exposure to ETL processes and data validation practices.

Knowledge of API documentation and integration workflows.

Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
