ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Business Analyst
to play a key role in supporting the sales cycle by translating customer needs into clear, solution-ready requirements and documentation. The role involves close collaboration with the
PMO Delivery Director (primary reporting), as well as providing pre-sales support to the
Strategic Business Director
and
Sales & Customer Success Executive
through requirement gathering, solution scoping, and preparation of technical inputs for proposals and demos. The ideal candidate will ensure customer expectations are accurately understood, documented, and aligned with product capabilities before transition to delivery teams, and may also support early delivery phases to ensure smooth implementation planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Pre-Sales Discovery & Requirements Gathering

  • Attend client discovery calls and demos alongside the Strategic Business Director or Sales & Customer Success Executive
  • Capture and document business needs, workflows, and functional expectations
  • Clarify objectives, use cases, and customer challenges early in the sales cycle
  • Translate discussions into structured requirement notes or actionable briefs

2. Solution Scoping & Technical Documentation

  • Develop preliminary solution outlines, scope summaries, and feature mappings
  • Create draft Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) or Functional Specifications (FSDs) when required
  • Produce workflow diagrams, wireframes, or configuration concepts with support from designer team when needed (e.g., using Figma, Lucidchart, Visio)
  • Align proposed solutions with product capabilities and delivery feasibility in coordination with PMO

3. Proposal & Technical Input Support

  • Contribute the technical and functional sections of proposals, SOWs, capability decks, and solution documentation
  • Provide supporting material such as feature breakdowns, workflow references, screenshots, or demo visuals
  • Coordinate with PMs, Product Teams, and Solutions Architects to validate effort, timelines, and scope
  • Ensure documentation libraries, templates, and proposal-related assets remain current and accurate

4. Demo Support & Client Workshops

  • Assist in tailoring and preparing demos based on client requirements
  • Support solution walkthroughs by demonstrating functionality, workflows, or configuration concepts
  • Capture questions, required modifications, and follow-up actions from demos or workshops
  • Provide functional clarity to the Sales & Customer Success Executive and Product Delivery teams

5. Collaboration with Sales, Marketing & Technical Teams

  • Work with the Sales & Customer Success Executive to align scope, requirements, and customer expectations
  • Provide technical input to marketing collateral when showcasing system workflows or configurations
  • Support design and content teams with diagrams, Figma links, functionality clarifications, or feature visuals
  • Coordinate early solution feasibility with PMO, developers, and product architects

6. Delivery Handover & Flexible BA Support (Post-Sale)

  • Prepare structured handover notes for PMO, BA, and delivery teams to begin implementation
  • Clarify assumptions, workflows, deliverables, and effort during pre-kick-off activities
  • Where needed, transition temporarily into a Business Analyst role during project initiation
  • Support configuration workshops, requirement validation, and solution alignment during onboarding

PREFERRED SKILLS

Experience & Background

  • 2–4 years
    in
    pre-sales, business analysis, solution consulting, or functional coordination
    in a software/SaaS/IT environment
  • Experience working with
    delivery, product, or technical teams
    to translate requirements into solutions
  • Familiarity with
    software implementation lifecycles
    and client discovery processes

Tools & Systems

  • Strong experience with
    Microsoft Office/365
    (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Working knowledge of
    Jira or similar project/issue tracking tools
  • Experience using
    diagramming or workflow tools
    (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Figma, Miro)

Skills & Capabilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to
    gather, structure, and document requirements
    clearly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, PMO, Delivery)
  • Good attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities

Education:
Bachelor's degree in
IT, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Preferred :

Industry & Product Knowledge

  • Exposure to
    Lean, manufacturing, logistics, or process improvement environments
  • Understanding of
    SaaS platforms, workflow-based systems, or ERP/MES/QMS tools

Proposal & Demo Involvement

  • Experience contributing to
    proposals, solution decks, or SOWs
  • Exposure to
    software demos, configuration showcases, or pre-sales workshops

Collaboration & Market Alignment

  • Experience working with
    UK/Europe or international clients
  • Ability to provide input into
    marketing or sales collateral
    (from a functional perspective)

Tools & Technology (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Familiarity with
    HubSpot or CRM platforms
    (viewing/updating deal notes, not ownership)
  • Experience using
    Figma
    or similar design reference tools (for workflows/UI mapping)
  • Awareness of
    AI tools
    (ChatGPT, Copilot, Jasper, etc.) for documentation support

Methodologies & Delivery Context

  • Understanding of
    SDLC
