Role: Lead Python Developer (+ML)

Location: Bangalore

Notice Period: 15 to 30 days

Responsibilities
:

  1. Own and Operate large scale data ingestion and batch data processing(Spark, Python), data aggregation (DWH, Data Lake) and MIS/Business Intelligence Reporting (Tableau, SQL) platform to ensure high quality data is being ingested in real time from a set of Microservices and Event Driven source applications and deliver a high quality data for MIS and BI reporting which would be further used for financial reconciliations.

  2. Ensure robust data flow between transactional microservices and distributed data platforms (including Kafka, Redis, HBase, Elastic Search, etc.).

  3. Provide Technical support to junior data engineers responsible to ensure successful completion of ETL Processes and MIS/BI reports.

  4. Perform data anomaly detection, RCA documentation, code fixes, and enhancements to solve the problems on temporary or permanent basis.

  5. Oversee monitoring, diagnostics, and proactive maintenance of production and non-production systems.

  6. Drive the development of automation tools and scripts using Python/Perl/Shell to eliminate manual tasks and accelerate issue resolution.

  7. Establish and enforce SLAs for internal platforms, ensuring issues are resolved within defined timelines.

  8. Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement of the data infrastructure platform.

  9. Capture feedback from platform users and convert it into actionable architecture or support initiatives.

  10. Maintain structured documentation of support activity, performance metrics, and enhancement logs.

Core Skills

  1. Strong expertise in data architecture, distributed systems, and real-time data processing

  2. Hands-on experience with key data ecosystem technologies:

  3. Deep proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Shell, or Perl

  4. Good to have any one of the following skills Kafka, Storm, Zookeeper, Elastic Search, Aerospike, Redis, HBase, Hive, MySQL

  5. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

  6. Prior experience in production support, incident management, and anomaly detection
