  • To support routine plant operations by purchasing of required material at right time at right quality by ensuring cost effectiveness.
  • Identify right vendors, float RFQ and invite quotes. To work closely with vendor's, users in strengthening RFQ's and freezing specifications as and when required.
  • Act as an effective interface between suppliers, internal customers and other related departments in resolution of problems and streamline the process
  • To co-ordinate and act as a better support along with vendor's and end user's/stores / SCM / finance in case of any issues in supplies or payments.
  • To monitor market trends, bench marking costs, constructing required cost structures.
  • To do business / cost analysis, for identifying potential opportunities for savings in close communication with end users.
  • Prepare reports, keeping MIS on required KRA's of Cost savings, Delivery targets. Keeping records in line with the various audit criterion like ISO TS 16949, ISO 14001 EMS, ISO 18001 OHSAS.
  • Periodic review on performance indicators in line with continuous self and business improvements.
  • Prepare, raise purchase orders, Contracts, SLA's etc.

Commodities worked: Major portfolio should contains cost effective commercial settlement of various services required to the plant like contract management and commercial settlement of manpower services like housekeeping / Technical cleaning, Contractual Driver's services, Gardening services, HR related Services like Contractual manpower services, white collar staffing, Nap's / Nat's. Commercials settlement with recruiting agencies, warehouse / material handling equipment's, Other Repair and maintenance, ARC's, AMC's, buying of spares and equipment's, Stationary, production consumables, Contract management like Air ticketing, taxi booking, etc.

  • Exposure to import buying of Mechanical, electrical / electronic spares, Various system audits. Buying of production consumables and exposure to Capex procurement would be an added advantage.
  • It is preferable to know on the local cost bench marks and supplier base.

  • Should be proficient in use of SAP and MS Office (Excel, PPT)
  • Willing to travel to suppliers
