Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in West Bengal, India for a Staff Writer position at IISER Kolkata. The Staff Writer will be responsible for creating high-quality written content to document and promote the academic, research, and institutional achievements of the institute. Key responsibilities include drafting articles, press releases, and reports; researching and verifying information; editing and proofreading content; and collaborating with departments to ensure the accuracy and relevance of published materials. Additional tasks involve maintaining institutional communication standards and supporting content strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Writing, Content Creation, and Creative Writing.
• Proficiency in Editing, Proofreading, and Research to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Knowledge or experience in Digital Content Strategy and Communication standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Prior experience in an educational or research setting is advantageous.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required.
• An understanding of academic and scientific communication is desirable.
