Job Summary

The Electrical Manager is responsible for overseeing all electrical maintenance, installations, and safety compliance across the facility. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, effective maintenance of electrical systems, adherence to statutory regulations, and timely execution of electrical projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Maintenance & Operations

  • Plan, supervise, and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of all electrical systems.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of transformers, motors, generators, VFDs, control panels, and plant electrical equipment.
  • Reduce downtime through quick diagnosis and corrective action.
  • Maintain documentation of electrical parameters, maintenance logs, and power consumption.

Project Management

  • Lead electrical installation works, plant expansion projects, and electrical upgrades.
  • Prepare project requirements, cost estimates, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely completion.

Electrical Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Implement LOTO procedures and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Provide safety training to electricians and technical staff.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and guide electricians and electrical technicians.
  • Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure timely task completion.
  • Support skill development and training programs.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Maintain adequate stock of electrical spares, tools, and consumables.
  • Manage AMC agreements and ensure timely service support.
  • Prepare reports on downtime, maintenance activities, and equipment status.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong background in industrial electrical maintenance (textile/manufacturing preferred).
  • Experience in handling HT/LT systems, VFD, PLC, and control circuits.
  • Good leadership and team-handling capabilities.

Skills Required

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical safety norms.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
