Role Description

This is a full-time Process Engineering Manager role based on-site at our Bengaluru location. The Process Engineering Manager will oversee process design, improvement, and optimization for biogas plant operations. Responsibilities include developing and implementing efficient engineering processes, managing process controls, and leading continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced plant performance. This role will also require collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and contribute to company objectives in clean energy solutions.

You will be leading the process engineering team and other disciplines across the business including the , plant design and engineering ,project planning , plant commissioning .Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead the provision of technical input and support on anaerobic digestion projects across the life of a project;

• Lead the review of third-party designs, technical proposals and operational models and writing technical due diligence reports for funders;

• Preparing technical and procurement documentation and schematics/drawings;

• Leading the preparation of models to determine plant energy and mass balances, emission rates and financial/operational models including thermodynamic calculations and basic financial metrics;

• Manage staff who will undertake process design and engineering ,on-site inspection, witnessing, verification and supervision of construction, commissioning, and testing projects and troubleshooting of operational plant including waste and recycling operations (thermal, mechanical, biological) and other renewable energy and sustainability-based projects;

• Assisting other teams within JF biogas with technical and process engineering aspects of diverse projects

• Design solutions to implement innovative new ideas and support plant upgrades

• Production of process and instrumentation diagrams to reflect agreed scope

• Develop process specifications and associated equipment selection

• Produce process calculations to confirm parameters, equipment sizing

• Confirm pipework line sizes via head loss calculations in order to confirm pump and compressor requirements

• Input into all phases of a project including initial business development and client and subcontractor liaison

• Oversee the building and commissioning of projects

Skills and Experience:

Ideally degree qualified in a relevant technical discipline, ideally an Engineering discipline

• At least 3 years experience with proven track record, of creating process improvements

• Understanding of the anaerobic digestion process

• Familiar with the functions and capabilities of instrumentation

• Understand and ability to create Engineering Line Diagrams/Process Instrumentation Diagrams

• Understanding of engineering drawings

• Basic knowledge of AutoCad 2D

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel

• Experience in understanding and providing head loss calculations

• Working knowledge of pumping solutions and pump selection

• Understanding of CDM responsibilities and associated health & safety requirements both in construction and in design

• A keen interest in getting involved in all aspects of a project, both theoretical and practical.
