Job Description – Senior BIM Modeler- Electrical/Mechanical

Location:
Kolkata / Noida

Experience:
6–10 years

Working Days:
5 Days a Week

Education:
B.Tech/B.E (Electrical/Electrical)

Key Responsibilities (varied based on role level and experience):

  • Develop and update BIM models for Mechanical/Electrical services (Piping, Ducting, Equipment Layouts, etc.) using Revit.
  • Coordinate mechanical models with other services (Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, HVAC).
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings, schedules, and quantity take-offs.
  • Work on clash detection, design validation, and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure BIM execution plan and client requirements are met.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • For Modelers/Senior Engineers (3-7 years' experience): Proven hands-on experience in BIM modeling and drafting for MEPF systems.
  • For BIM Coordinator/Manager years' experience preferred): Strong leadership experience in BIM coordination, project delivery, workflow management, and team oversight.
  • Proficiency in BIM software: Revit MEP is essential. Familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, or other relevant BIM/design tools is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of MEPF system design principles and relevant building codes.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
