Electrical BIM Modeler

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and review 
    electrical systems
     for MEP projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Perform 
    load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit calculations
     to ensure optimal electrical performance.
  • Develop 
    single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and schematics
     using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams to ensure seamless 
    integration of electrical systems
     in MEP projects.
  • Review 
    shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications
     to ensure compliance with project requirements and codes (NEC, IEC, IEEE, etc.).
  • Perform 
    site inspections and quality checks
     to verify the correct installation of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot 
    electrical issues
     and propose corrective actions in collaboration with field engineers and contractors.
  • Work with procurement teams to source electrical materials and ensure timely project execution.
  • Stay updated with 
    new technologies, codes, and regulations
     in the electrical and MEP industry.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in 
    Electrical Engineering
     or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in 
    electrical MEP design, installation, and commissioning
    .
  • Proficiency in 
    AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, or other electrical design software
    .
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
