About the Role:

The Release Manager will oversee and manage the planning, testing, tracking, release, deployment, communication, and risk management processes throughout the software release life cycle. This role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams, effective communication, and proactive risk management to ensure successful, on-time software delivery. The Release Manager will work to streamline release processes, improve methodologies, and support the smooth software transition from development to production.

• A highly organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in software release management, ensuring that the release process is efficient, timely, and within budget.
• An excellent communicator who can effectively liaise between development, operations, QA, and other teams to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project deliverables and timelines.
• A proactive problem solver who identifies potential risks manages roadblocks, and ensures that release scope and quality remain intact.
• A team player who collaborates with developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to refine the release process, improve tools, and implement automation for efficient deployment.

What You'll Do:

• Release Planning & Coordination: Plan and manage the release life cycle, coordinating resources and schedules based on third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
• Cross-team Communication: Communicate release plans, timelines, and requirements to various teams, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage risks that could delay releases, ensuring that the release schedule and quality standards are met without compromise.
• Progress Tracking & Issue Resolution: Track release progress, identify any issues, and take corrective actions as needed to maintain the release timeline.
• Budget & Scope Management: Ensure that the release is planned and executed within the defined budget and scope, aligning with project goals and requirements.
• Reviews & Milestone Tracking: Schedule and lead release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release to ensure continuous improvement.
• Go-Live Leadership: Lead Go-Live activities, ensuring that software is deployed successfully with minimal disruption.
• Collaboration on Automation: Partner with development teams to build and enhance automation tools for software development and deployment, improving efficiency.
• CAB Meetings: Schedule and lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to discuss release schedules, identify roadblocks, and manage dependencies.
• Documentation Management: Maintain detailed documentation related to build/release procedures, notifications, and dependencies to ensure smooth handovers and transparency.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in configuration management methodologies and software development processes to optimize release operations.
