Software Engineer II

Overview

Leading AI-driven Global Supply Chain Solutions Software Product Company and one of Glassdoors Best Places to Work. Seeking an astute individual that has a strong technical foundation with the additional ability to be hands-on with the broader engineering team as part of the development/deployment cycle, and deep knowledge of industry best practices, with the ability to implement them working with both the platform, and the product teams.

Core responsibilities include development and design (along with counterparts and distinguished Architects) a ground up cloud native (we use Azure) SaaS product in with micro services architecture. The team currently comprises of 50 global associates across Europe, US, India and is expected to grow rapidly.

• Software: React.JS, Node JS, GitHub, Mongo Atlas, Azure, Nest JS
• Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event-driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture, Micro-frontend.
• Cloud Architecture: MS Azure, Azure Functions, Logic Apps

• Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
• Work with the team to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and deliver high-quality product.
• Develop high quality bug-free code following design patterns, OOP concepts.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Frontend development, React JS, Micro-Frontends, Design Patterns, Data structures, Restful Web services.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, Testing libraries like RTL etc.
• Knowledge, and interests in Cloud native architecture, Distributed micro-services, Multi-tenant SaaS solution and Cloud Scalability, performance, and High availability.
• Knowledge on CI/CD pipelines, Github workflows etc.
• Working knowledge of devOps flows Build deploy operate.
• Hands-on design, coding & development
• Experience in Unit tests.
• Experience working in an agile test-driven development with continuous integration.
• Good understanding of OO Programming.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript patterns and the challenges involved with creating maintainable JavaScript applications.
• Extensive knowledge about APIs. Can design RESTful services and integrate with other data providers.
• Demonstrable experience designing, building, deploying and maintenance of enterprise cloud solutions in any of AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Working knowledge of databases Mongo, Cosmos, SnowFlake etc.
• Ability to write and review code as needed and provide technical direction to the group in all phases of development.
• Understanding of technical architectures, capacity plans, tool requirements, automation plans, product launch plans, and other deliverables.

• Experience using Git for complex software systems with teams.
• Knowledge of Micro-Frontends orchestration.
• Have a passion for learning new tools, languages, and frameworks.
• On-call support whenever the team needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
