Position Overview:

As a Junior Accountant, you will assist with the day-to-day financial operations of the company. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting monthly and yearly closing activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting within the jewelry industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including bookkeeping and general ledger activities.

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate matching of transactions.

  • Support the monthly closing process by preparing necessary journal entries and reports.

  • Assist with inventory accounting and valuation, ensuring that jewelry and raw materials are accurately recorded.

  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and reports for management.

  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.

  • Assist with the preparation of tax filings and compliance documents.

  • Support audits by providing required documentation and responding to inquiries.

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information as needed.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably in retail or the jewelry industry.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

-Experience in GST and TDS return completion is preferred.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
