Job Title: Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist

Location: Gurgaon (Hybrid)

Reporting to: India Finance Lead

You have the opportunity to:

The Master Data Management Specialist is responsible for managing, governing, and improving the quality of enterprise master data across systems. The role supports data strategy, data governance, and data transformation initiatives to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data that enables business operations and decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

a) Master Data Management

• Create, maintain, and validate master data (Customer, Vendor, Material, Product, Finance, etc.) in ERP systems.
• Ensure consistency and integrity of master data across SAP and other enterprise systems.
• Support data migration, data cleansing, and harmonization activities.

b) Data Governance & Quality

• Implement and enforce data governance standards, policies, and procedures.
• Define and monitor data quality KPIs (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness).
• Identify root causes of data quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Support data stewardship and ownership models across business functions.

c) Systems & Process Support

• Support implementation and stabilization of new IT systems and data landscapes.
• Work closely with business and IT teams to optimize data workflows and approvals.
• Maintain master data documentation, SOPs, and operating models.

d) Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, IT, Analytics).
• Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams for data requirements.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 6 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or ERP support roles.
• Experience in ERP implementation or data transformation programs preferred.
• Strong understanding of Master Data Management principles and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (S4 HANA), ARIBA etc.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with SAP MDG, SAP IBP, or other MDM tools.
• Exposure to data migration projects (cutover, validation, reconciliation).
• Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Understanding of business processes in Supply Chain / Finance / Sales.
