Job Purpose

The role of Lead - Plant HR/IR is to oversee and manage human resources and industrial relations activities within the individual plant. This position is critical in ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment while adhering to labor laws and organizational HR policies.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the plant's operational objectives and workforce.
  • Oversee and manage corporate HR initiatives and collaborate closely with the HR team on broader HR strategies and projects. Manage employee relations, handling grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions in line with labor laws and company policies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies in all HR and IR matters.
  • Facilitate negotiations and maintain positive relationships with labor unions and external labor bodies.
  • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention within the plant.
  • Collaborate with the plant management team to address labor-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide strategic HR guidance to plant leadership on organizational development and change management.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor HR and IR compliance and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on HR policies, IR practices, and compliance for plant employees and managers.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation related to HR and IR activities.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure plant operations remain compliant.
  • Implement and enforce safety and security measures related to HR and IR activities in the plant.
