About the Role

We are looking for an experienced PHP Senior Software Engineer (SSE) who can design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP, modern frameworks, OOP concepts, and MVC architecture, with hands-on experience in writing clean, testable code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using PHP and modern frameworks (Laravel / CodeIgniter / Symfony).
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best coding standards.
  • Implement and maintain Unit Testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Work with MVC architecture to design robust, maintainable, and reusable components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in PHP development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4–13 years of hands-on experience in PHP development.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony (at least one mandatory).
  • Solid understanding of OOP concepts and MVC architecture.
  • Experience with Unit Testing frameworks like PHPUnit.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, MySQL databases, and version control (Git).
  • Familiarity with Composer, package management, and modern PHP ecosystem.
  • Ability to write clean, secure, and maintainable code.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with microservices or API-driven development.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
