Role Summary
:

The firm seeks a Manager of Data Analysis/Data Science specializing in credit risk assessment and predictive analytics. The ideal candidate should possess a strong grasp of financial principles, hands-on experience in scorecard development, and solid expertise in implementing machine learning models. This role is vital for refining credit decision processes and improving scoring systems for retail and microfinance initiatives. Experience in team leadership and building high-performance analytics teams is also required.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities


• Credit Risk Analysis: Lead thorough analyses of credit risk factors and trends to inform strategic decision-making.


• Scorecard Development: Supervise the design and creation of credit scoring models and scorecards to evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants.


• Business Rule Engine Optimization: Implement and enhance business rule engines to improve the efficiency of credit decision processes.


• Model Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and validate credit risk models, ensuring they align with business objectives.


• Predictive Risk Modelling: Utilize machine learning techniques to develop predictive risk models that enhance credit risk assessment.


• Data Modelling: Analyze and model data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that support effective credit risk management.


• CRIF Strategy 1 Implementation: Assist in executing CRIF Strategy 1 to strengthen credit assessment capabilities.


• Credit Scoring Engine Development: Play a key role in advancing the credit scoring engine to enhance efficiency and accuracy in credit decisions.


• Data Analysis and Reporting: Provide actionable intelligence through data analysis and reporting to guide business strategy and decision-making.


• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing analytics team, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional growth.

Candidate Profile


• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Key Technical skills:
Python, SQL, Decision trees.
