Operation Theatre Technician/ OT In-charge

• Prepare and maintain operation theatre.
• Maintain equipment support in an acute care environment.
• Identify and move to maintain a sterile field.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Manage and maintain theatre equipment.
• Maintain reports and records within OT.
• Prepare patient for operative procedures.
• Provide intra-operative equipment and technical support.
• Assist Surgeons in handling emergencies outside of OT Room.
• Ensure availability of medical and diagnostic supplies.
• Prepare Duty Roster and assign staff.
• Work effectively with others including CSOT staff.
• Manage Overtime duties in Emergency cases.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure working Environment.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines.
• Manage and follow biomedical waste disposal protocols.
• Co-ordinate with Biomedical Engineer in case of equipment breakdown and calibration.

Implementation and sustain of quality protocols with the help of Quality Department.

• Prepare the OT for surgery.
• Assist for surgical procedure.
• Care of patient on OT table.
• Care of patient on ventilator and ventilator management including FOB procedures.
• Assist for intubation and extubation.
• Administer medication as infusion.
• Verification of patient for surgical procedure.
• Assist for Central line insertion.
• Assist for Epidural Catheter insertion.
• Check Anaesthesia workstation & airway cart & medications for GA / SA.
• Prepare surgical instruments for specific surgery.
• Assist in administration of Anaesthesia.
• Correct handling of OT and Anaesthesia equipment.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Work effectively with others.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure working Environment.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines.
