About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in healthcare data to design, develop, and optimize cloud-native data pipelines and warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Kafka, and Snowflake, along with deep knowledge of healthcare payer data models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake), and Apache Kafka.
  • Architect scalable data warehousing solutions on Snowflake.
  • Perform ETL/ELT transformations, cleansing, and enrichment to support analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and domain experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and governance across platforms.
  • Design and maintain healthcare data models (payer modules).
  • Utilize data modeling tools (ER/Studio, Erwin, or similar) for conceptual, logical, and physical modeling.
  • Document technical processes, designs, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering on cloud platforms.
  • Expertise in:
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake)
  • Apache Kafka
  • Snowflake
  • Strong background in ETL/ELT design, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture, governance, and security.
  • Experience working in consulting/client-facing environments.
  • Proven expertise in healthcare data modeling (payer modules mandatory).
  • Proficiency in ER/Studio, Erwin, or equivalent tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HIPAA, PHI).
  • Certifications in Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake.

Note: No Pharmacy Experience is acceptable

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹80, ₹90,000.00 per month
