Job Overview

We are seeking a detail oriented
Healthcare Data Analyst
to analyze clinical, operational, and financial healthcare data to support data driven decision making. The role focuses on improving patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory reporting through accurate data insights and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze healthcare datasets including clinical, claims, EHR, and operational data.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to support clinical, operational, and business teams.
  • Monitor key healthcare metrics such as patient outcomes, utilization, and quality measures.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Support population health, cost optimization, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, IT, and business stakeholders to understand data needs.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation activities.
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance reporting requirements.
  • Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities using analytics.
  • Document data definitions, metrics, and reporting logic.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in
    healthcare data analysis
    .
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data types such as EHR, claims, and clinical data.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and data privacy standards (HIPAA).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Tools & Technologies (Preferred)

  • Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL
  • Analytics & BI: Power BI, Tableau, Looker
  • Programming: Python or R (nice to have)
  • Healthcare Systems: Epic, Cerner, other EHRs
  • Data Standards: HL7, FHIR (basic understanding)

Certifications (Nice to Have)

  • Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA)
  • Healthcare Analytics certifications
  • HIPAA compliance training
