About the Role

Sumanam Engineering Services Consultant is seeking a skilled and dedicated Structural Engineer (BIM) with at least 2-3 years of experience in structural design and Building Information Modeling (BIM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating advanced 3D BIM models and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure precise and timely project delivery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain detailed 3D models using BIM software (REVIT Structural & REVIT Architecture).
  • Model LOD 400 to LOD 500 phase structural and architectural elements.
  • Develop and manage BIM families for various services and interior design elements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure model accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform clash detection and coordination of federated models using Navisworks Manage, ensuring adherence to BEP checklists.
  • Conduct constructability reviews, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation support using BIM data.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across various disciplines and models.
  • Stay updated on BIM technology developments and integrate them into workflows.
  • Use CAD and structural design software to generate structural models.
  • Prepare estimates for civil and structural works.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Master's Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in structural design and BIM modeling.
  • Proficiency in Revit (Structural & Architecture), Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of structural systems and construction processes.
  • Knowledge of LOD modeling standards and BIM execution planning.
  • Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
