Overall summary:

Required a skilled and experienced developer with expertise in Perl

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Perl applications and scripts to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement APIs, integrate with databases, and support web applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects while ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Perl programming, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and regular expressions.
  • Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Dancer, Mojolicious) and technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Proficiency in interacting with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite) using Perl DBI and ORM tools.
  • Strong experience with version control systems, particularly Git, for collaborative development and code management.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Test::More, Test::Harness) and debugging tools to ensure code quality and performance.
  • Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP API design and implementation to integrate with other systems.
  • Strong command of Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting and system administration.

Good to have:

  • Python/Perl language.
  • Familiarity with Modern Perl Practices
