Job Description – Home CookPosition

Title: Home Cook with servant

Location: Ahmedabad

Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM (with meal and rest breaks)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh, healthy, and vegetarian meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Cook Gujarati, North Indian, and light continental/diet food (soups, salads, juices, etc.) as per family preference.
• Maintain taste, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Plan weekly menus and inform in advance about grocery needs.
• Handle gas stove, mixer, utensils, and ensure proper cleaning after every meal.
• Supervise the house servant for kitchen cleaning and serving assistance.
• Occasionally prepare snacks, tea, or beverages for guests.
• Keep track of fridge and food stock, ensuring freshness and avoiding wastage.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a home cook in a family or private residence.
• Knowledge of pure vegetarian cooking and basic diet-friendly dishes.
• Neat, disciplined, and polite behavior.
• Must be honest, punctual, and maintain cleanliness.
• Basic understanding of Gujarati or Hindi.

Home Cleaning: Daily sweeping, mopping, dusting, and keeping rooms tidy.

• Utensil Cleaning: Wash all plates, glasses, and kitchen utensils after meals.
• Clothing: Wash, dry, fold, and iron family clothes neatly.
• Support Cook: Assist cook in cutting vegetables, cleaning kitchen, and serving meals when required.
• Bathroom & Toilet Cleaning: Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of all bathrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of balcony, floor, and common areas.
• Keep all household cleaning items organized (detergents, mop, brush, etc.).
