Analyst Trade finance

Location: Chennai

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Trade Finance Specialist to handle Letters of Credit (LC), documentation, and import/export procedures. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UCP 600, ISBC, Incoterms, and URR 725 norms, preparing LC-related documents, and facilitating seamless international trade transactions.

Job Description:

  • Letters of Credit Management: Review, verify, and process LC applications and amendments for cotton products.
  • Documentation Handling: Prepare and validate trade documents, including Invoices, Packing Lists, Beneficiary Certificates, Insurance, and BL Conditions.
    • Import & Export Coordination: Manage documentation for both sea and air freight shipments to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to global trade regulations, including UCP 600, ISBC, Incoterms, and URR 725.
  • Bank Negotiation: Prepare and submit LC-related documents for bank negotiations and approvals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency measures in trade finance workflows.
  • Client & Bank Communication: Manage correspondence with customers and banks to address clarifications and ensure timely processing.
  • SOP & Desktop Procedure Preparation: Work with on-site and remote teams to create, validate, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
