Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Lead Consultant to join our BU Tech (Commercial-focused) team, with the focused objective of leading the India-based efforts to successfully transform the ways in Lilly USA Tech operates.

This role will work closely with senior technology leaders in Indianapolis and across Lilly's global Enterprise tech organization.

This role will support roadmap acceleration, contribute to service design in collaboration with horizontal capabilities, and help ensure the overall success of the LUSA Optimus portfolio. Given the growing scope and complexity of our initiatives, this role is essential to driving both strategic alignment and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Case Development

• Collaborate with Lilly USA Tech leaders to identify opportunities for capability building and insourcing.
• Develop detailed business cases that align with enterprise priorities and deliver measurable value in specific timelines
• Ideate AI-first transformations across the DevSecOps cycle to ensure future-state solutions are being built in the most efficient and innovative ways possible

Transformation Program Management

• Co-create detailed execution plans with global transformation teams.
• Lead program management efforts, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and stakeholder alignment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a liaison between Lilly USA Tech teams, the Lilly enterprise tech teams (Data, SW Engg and AI, among others) and Lilly India, fostering strong relationships and shared accountability for accelerating and de-risking the transformation program
• Engage with enterprise tech leaders to ensure alignment with architectural and operational models.

Reporting & Communication

• Track and report progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
• Represent Lilly India in enterprise forums and contribute to shaping transformation strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technology consulting, transformation, or program management.
• Proven success in global, matrixed environments—preferably within pharma or regulated industries.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategic goals into executable plans.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in insourcing strategy and enterprise transformation.
• Experience with and/or certifications in Agile, SAFe, and modern DevSecOps and SDLC methodologies.
• Exposure to Lilly's Technology ecosystem or similar enterprise technology environments.
