Position: VP-ACCOUNTS & COMMERCIAL

Location: HO - Andheri, Mumbai

Reports to: Managing Director

Position Requirements

• B. Com Degree in Accounting or Finance + Qualified CA
• 15+ years total accounting or finance experience
• Background coordinating with I.T to upgrade and implement accounting system implementation experience strongly preferred. Hands on ERP Systems.
• Significant experience in coordination with Banks for raising loans as & when required and renewals of working capital time to time.
• Experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues.
• High level of Integrity and dependability with strong sense of urgency & result oriented

Job Profile

Strategy, Planning and Management

• Act as a business partner to senior executive leadership team.
• Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long term operational goals, budgets and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.

Finance Arrange & Risk Management

• Plan Organize and control financial resources to run day to day business activities and achieve business targets.
• Cash and fund management using leverage

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Ensure preparation timely preparation and submission of MIS to management.
• Proper Analysis of performance of Company operations marketing and ensure proper decision in time

Planning, Budgeting and Target Setting

• Plan, prepare and control annual budgets & targets to optimize unit profitability

Working Capital Management

• Plan and ensure effective utilization of funds to maintain working capital at optimum level

Finance accounting and balance sheet

• Ensure development and implementation of all accounting systems in plant to bring financial discipline and cost control
• Ensure conformance to accounting standards and compliance with internal & external audit requirement

Direct & Indirect Taxation

• Filling of Direct Tax returns with compliance, Preparation for Income Tax Assessment / Appeal / Scrutiny, Monthly GST Return with proper taking and utilization of Input Tax Credit, Audit and compliance, Annual Return, Assessment/Appeal/Scrutiny/Raid, Import-Export Procedure and documentation, Filling of GST Refund on Export etc..

Administration of Commercial Dept.

• Ensure procurement of raw materials in time to avoid inventory cost and monitor inventory level and take corrective actions.
• Managing SCM in least cost and duty
• Vendor development/ evaluation/ negotiation of contract
• Monitor & control store expense and proper warehousing of stores and raw material

Corporate Governance

• Ensure that company conform to all statutory requirements (commercial) in time to avoid legal complications and to facilitates reporting system

Finance and Company Secretary

• To initiate, execute and ensure corporate secretarial and related compliances functions as applicable to company
• Timely preparation and filing of all statutory returns and forms with registrar of companies in order to safeguard and protect the interest of the company and minimize penalty/ litigations by adopting best corporate governance standard

Financial Relations and Policies

• Engage finance committee and/or board of directors to develop short term and long term plans, projections and budgets.
• Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors and officials.

Finance and Accounting Team Management

• Mentor and develop a team of senior managers, managing work allocation, systems training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic

Job Context and Challenges

• Timely submission of document for refund of inverted GST amount, various export incentives to various Govt. Dept & follow up to get the amount well in time.
• Submission of working capital requirements to various bank time to time in multiple banking and consortium system and getting the work done well in time. Negotiation of interest rate, processing charges, various bank charges as and when opportunity is available and need to benchmark with similar credit rating good companies.
• Timely fulfilment of requirement by Govt. relation to Direct & Indirect taxes.
• Legal matter to be resolved on & off the legal system.
• Administration of various dept. with MIS to get the timely work done well in time. (Dept. such as Accounts, Material Purchase, Logistics, Billing, Payments, Sales Accounting, IT, Taxation, Company Secretary, ISO 9001:2015, Forex, etc.)
